Greg Orloff is a sculptor, metalsmith, and mixed media artist originally from St. Louis, Missouri. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in sculpture from University of Missouri, Columbia in 2012. Arriving in Los Angeles in the summer of 2015, Greg has established a jewelry and sculpture fabrication shop located at the Brewery Artist Lofts in DTLA where he creates bespoke jewelry and sculptural adornments. Greg creates jewelry and wearable sculptural that references high-end fashion and adornment through the use of abstract floral motifs as well as primal ornamental filigrees. He is interested in how the wearer of a piece of jewelry can take on alternative personas through the use of adornment. Power and protection are also central elements to his work and while jewelry is not physically protective, the shape and form that these pieces take can greatly increase attention of vise versa deter interaction in everyday social settings.
