Brandon Meyer ~ Sunday, December 8, 2013 • 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
PLUS Holiday Gift Sale
Coming from a background steeped in Kansas City jazz, Brandon Meyer began taking piano lessons (at gunpoint!) at seven years old. Early years began with boogie-woogie taught to him by his father, then in high school, it was rock-n-roll. The 80's swallowed him up in blues and George Gershwin. It was around this time he realized he truly loved playing and began branching out into other styles. He discovered Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum, Herbie Hancock, he fell in love with Ravel and Rachmaninoff. Over the past couple of decades he's either sat in with or played in countless bands including Chuck E. Weiss & the Goddamn Liars, The Rubatos, The Anna Montgomery Band, Mr. Ectomy, Eleni Mandell, Lily Hayden, the Rob Z Lounge Project and most recently My Old Band with Jake Ogle, a Concerts in the Dell favorite. This will mark Brandon's first solo performance in ten years. MetaFour is thrilled to have Brandon lend his talents for our 2nd Annual Gift Sale & Concert.
